Yellowstone National Park

While photography provided an escape from the stress of his thirty-six years as a corporate transactional lawyer, Craig now pursues photography with considerable passion--traveling and chasing opportunities to observe and photograph nature, wildlife and other things that catch his inquisitive eye.

While he might be found capturing iconic images of “mudders” or snowy ponies at Oaklawn, you’ll more typically find Craig beside a river photographing majestic Bald Eagles, or capturing images of puffins, terns and arctic fox in Iceland, or photographing monster whitetail bucks, javelina and elusive bobcats in the rugged brush country of extreme South Texas, or simply photographing butterflies, dragonflies, bumblebees and every species of bird and duck living or migrating through Arkansas.

Increasingly, Craig is blessed to be able to spend more and more time in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. His perfect day in North America’s “Serengeti” begins well before daylight, at minus 21°, and might include photographing a frosty bison plowing through belly-deep snow in search of a few blades of grass, or maybe a pack of wolves devouring a recent kill, or possibly a red fox diving into the snow to capture tasty critters scurrying two feet below.  He is privileged to capture these encounters—typically zoomed in for as much detail as is possible--hoping that such images might help all of us understand and appreciate the animals’ efforts to survive in almost impossible conditions.
